Directing the flow
MIXR's have various flow movements; two of them are up-and-down pump flow movements
To determine the flow direction, start by identifying whether your magnetic stir plate rotates clockwise or counterclockwise. Next, take a MIXR and place your finger at the center of the blade. Rotate the MIXR in the same direction as your magnetic stir plate. If your finger moves upward along the blade, it indicates an upward flow direction. Conversely, if your finger moves downward along the blade, it indicates a downward flow direction.
As an example, using a right-handed beetle, put your finger in the middle of the stirrer bar and rotate the magnet clockwise. The finger will be located in the higher position. So, the right-handed beetle + clockwise = up,
